As a general rule, book flights through a travel agent who is registered with ATOL and ABTA. If you also use a credit card rather than a debit card to make the purchase, this will offer additional protection in the event of an airline getting into financial trouble. Flying to the North There are flights to Ercan airport in North Cyprus with a number of different airlines, but as of July 2010, Cyprus Turkish Airlines (KTHY) has gone out of business. Flights from Heathrow are available with Turkish Airlines via Istanbul, and other companies use Stansted, Manchester and Glasgow. All flights touch down in Turkey. Passengers for Ercan remain on board whilst those for Turkey disembark. This process takes approximately 45 minutes. Flying to the South As a result of recent political changes, it is possible to cross the border between the north and south of the island. Flights go directly to Larnaca with British Airways, Cyprus Airways, EasyJet, Monarch and various others. We can arrange for a Turkish Cypriot taxi to collect you from the airport and to take you over the border to the house.

Our agent in Cyprus can arrange taxi transfers from the airport to the house. A taxi from the airport costs about £25 (one way) from Ercan and takes 45-50 minutes. From Larnaca, the cost of a taxi is £50 (one way), and takes 2 to 3 hours.
